My name is Julia (@letsgoto_pl) and I am a 33-year-old aspiring travel and landscape photographer from Poland who currently lives in Denmark. I only started on this adventure almost a year ago, so I am still learning and finding my own style. I hope to become a professional photographer, so I am able to do what I really love 24/7.
I got my first DSLR camera as a graduation gift from my parents. I cannot be more thankful for that! They also greatly impacted my passion for traveling. Throughout childhood, we frequently took road trips.
Thank god I have a partner who has the same passion for outdoor adventure as I do! Long story short: we’ve been to 32 countries together. On our first trip we traveled 3,000 km in a camper van to Northern Italy and back. On our next trip we explored the Balkan countries. Then four years ago, we decided to leave everything behind us and move to Denmark. Since the country has not much to offer for a mountain lover, we are trying to travel as much as we can.
We have extensively traveled across the Scandinavian region with Copenhagen as our base, and are now taking part in the Crown of Europe challenge, which requires us to reach the top of the highest mountain in every European country.
For some strange reason that I cannot explain why, I feel better in the cold Arctic region. I love the rough, raw, and wild landscapes – and this is what you can see in my gallery. I would choose rainy moody forests, foggy mountains, and snowy conditions any day over lying on a golden beach with a clear blue sky. That’s just not me.
Along the past years, I have discovered that traveling has changed a lot my way of thinking – in a really positive way. It has just opened my eyes to the important things in life, while having seen many unique and delicate parts of our world has taught me that we all need to start caring more about our planet.
So, with my photos I hope to motivate people to leave their comfort zone, explore new places, and experience different cultures. Maybe then, when we all see how beautiful but fragile our planet really is, we will accelerate our fight to protect our most precious resource, nature.
