“I’m not very patient, so the wait was painfully long, fortunately for my impatient self, 10 fox cubs came out of the den around 2 pm. A bit later their mother, a beautiful vixen returned from hunting, which meant it was time for the cubs to be fed. This was the very moment I captured my winning shot.”

“The winning photo was taken on a trip to Iceland. The waterfall is known as Skógafoss and is one of the largest waterfalls on the island. It was late in the afternoon and most of the crowds were already on their way back to the hotels.”

It was intended to be more of a scouting photo for the next morning, where I wanted to shoot a panorama at sunrise. But actually, I like the light coming from the other direction even better; it gives more depth to the image, and also the mood fits much better into the Norwegian landscape.”
