“With my work, I want to showcase the world as it is, with raw and unfiltered moments without getting stuck on the idea of creating the perfect work of art. Yes, a lot of your work won’t get acknowledged, but that is only because you are still learning how to create high-quality work.”

“Understanding that you will get much further when you collaborate instead of trying to always compete. Help others without expecting anything in return; you’d be surprised how many creators are more than willing to help you or offer valuable insights when you need them! In addition, when you work together, adventures might have a higher success rate – with photographs as a result that you may otherwise not have been able to take.”

“Through the video I submitted for the ColorPro film contest, I wanted to highlight what leaving my comfort zone has done for me over the past few years. It started in Kilimanjaro, where I first was afraid to leave my comfort zone. By doing so anyway and finding my way through this climb, I understood that I wanted to express my sensitivity and externalize my inner world through video. I found a new goal after dropping my rugby career that made life exciting again.”

“I always have doubts about all my videos and never think they are good enough. That’s why I was so surprised when I won an award, and still am every time. Maybe being humble is key, and trusting your creativity combined with your knowledge and personal liking.”
