I grew up in South of France surrounded by beautiful pine forests, but I had to move to Paris at the beginning of my teens. Ever since, I never felt I was at the right place and I have been dreaming about remote places that could fill my need for wildscapes and stunning nature. Along the years I have developed a true passion for mountains, and I cherish forests as a homeland. I don’t travel for the sake of traveling; I travel to reach and discover places where I feel home and where I can learn more about myself, find myself. The connection between humans and nature is an important aspect that feeds my art nowadays. In a world where humans take control over every little thing, it is crucial for me to remember how to contemplate, to listen what the world has to say.

"Solitude and introspection are themes that drive my work and that I like to explore through the purest link we have with nature."
"Ever since I remember, I have loved to create images."

As a child I painted our garden and when I was a teenager I discovered the possibilities of Photoshop. Then, for my 21st birthday, my parents offered me my very first camera, to capture memories from my holidays. Instead, I discovered an entire new medium to express myself, it was kind of a revolution. That year, I participated in a one-year project to explore various styles, from portraits to landscapes, still life and fine art sceneries. It took me a few years to find what I wanted to share through my photography. I have always been inspired by fantasy worlds from video games, animation series and movies; the cinematic approach of photography is something I am truly passionate about.

"So nowadays, I work in the image and video games industry as an art director and creating visuals is part of my daily life."

To feed my creativity, I try to pay attention to my surroundings to exercise my eye, to observe and get inspired by simple things. Because inspiration can come from everything, a specific light, some interesting contrasts, a street, a tree, the sky, as long as you keep your eyes open, there is something to take. I always have a little notebook in my bag to write or draw some ideas if suddenly I feel inspired.

"I feel that discovering new places is very important as a photographer, but even more as a human being."

It questions the mind about our own reality, it opens boundaries and creates connections. When I discover a new place, I try to contemplate what the world has to say, to listen to my deep feelings and gather these emotions to remember the moment. These feelings and these emotions are pure and driven by the beauty of the memory. This is what influences my photography. Not only I want to capture beautiful moments frozen in time, I also want to share the introspective emotions and thoughts that come with them.

"I make sure to dedicate some time to think about what I want to create and why, what do I want to say and share."
"Since I am a dreamer, I am easily moved by magical atmospheres, and I want people to connect with their own feelings when they look at my photos."

I don’t necessarily try to convey the exact reality, but more the introspective vision I have of it, opening a door to another reality where melancholy, nostalgia and onirism float around. The editing is an important part of the creative process; I don’t have a unique process I would apply to all my photos. Each of them is unique and I can spend hours to reach the exact atmosphere I want the photo to have before sharing it.

"Once I share a photo, I often put names to them."

By doing that, I feel I can share a bit more of myself, and deliver a more complete message. When I look at my pictures, I can hear music and I imagine poems being spoken, that would convey the exact feelings I wanted to share with them. Beyond the beauty of the image, I would like people to read a message, their own interpretation of the world, the wish to stop the time and start to contemplate again – far from the noisy life, and to reconnect with their forgotten dreams. I believe that putting words or images to who we are is wonderful…

"I wish I could have I written down or capture moments of my childhood, when I was playing alone in the forest, creating wonderful stories in which I was the main character, climbing trees and talking to the wild animals crossing my path."
"Creating images is a huge part of my life now and I know I will never stop doing that."

I have learnt a lot about myself through photography as I had finally found a way to express myself as an introvert. Despite the fact I have lived a huge part of my life in a city that wasn’t for me, I have learnt to find beauty where I was instead of wishing to be somewhere else all the time. And then on my journeys, I have met incredible people and I am so thankful for that. Sharing experiences and getting inspired by people is something that help you to grow.

"I will continue shooting, admiring the sky, climbing mountains and being fascinated by simple things."

I try to push myself out of my comfort zone to create new kind of images and share my visions with the world. I am currently living in Iceland and being here has definitely moved me. It will very likely inspire me to continue to work on new series, new concepts with a cinematic style, and maybe experiment more with filming to put my visions in motion. One of my goals is to share my own vision of the country, far from all images shared every day on social media.

"This is quite challenging, but I am inspired enough to face the challenge!"
