Best of the week 30

My name is Nicolas Lenatti and I am a 25 year-old nature photographer based in the Alps, in Northern Italy. I love being surrounded by nature, specially by green forests and cold mountains on rainy and foggy days.

About two years ago I began to take photography seriously. I bought my first DSLR camera for Christmas and honestly, this was one of the best decisions of my life. Why? You may be wondering…

Well, for a very long time I had never been able to say: “This is my passion”. For me, finding that thing that I truly love was really important. After buying the camera I felt immersed by this art and the many possibilities and lifestyle combinations that it can offer.

"Today I can proudly say that I am passionate about photography and to me, this really means a lot."

As I began to discover photography, I realized that I had a special interest in mountains. There is something really charming about the foggy peaks and snowed ranges…Don’t you think?

Eventually I looked further and discovered that even the smallest details of nature are wonderful. You don’t need to focus only on big mountains in order to find beauty in the wild. So, from here I began to adventure into mysterious forests where I found an enormous source of inspiration and above all, myself.

So, with my photography I want to make people understand that even on rainy days there is beauty, not only when the sun shines in the sky. However, I do not limit myself to this, in my own way, I also like capturing sunrises and sunsets. Overall, in my photos I give great importance to the atmosphere, which is really often the real protagonist.

Being very sensitive about safeguarding our planet, I would like to conclude with a quote from Markku Envall: "The trees remain intact if you leave. But you don't, if they go away.”
