Hobby photographer based in the UK

My name is Jordan Watson, I am 23 and based in the Lake District, UK. It was exactly there where my passion for travel and photography began. One day I decided to go hiking, and I was blown away by the views. As I was younger, I had never experienced anything like that before; being the freedom itself, surrounded by nature and silence. I will never forget that moment, that I opened my tent at sunrise and a sky full of magical colors greeted me.

"I never had had such a good morning!"
"I felt so alive and happy, that I got kind of addicted to it."

I started to do hikes regularly, craving for adventure. With every hike, the feeling that I needed to capture the beauty of the scenery got stronger. Not just for myself; I wanted to share it with others, inspire others to go outside and discover that the world is more than we could ever imagine. However, soon I realized that my phone couldn’t capture the feeling that these sceneries gave me. During one of these hikes, I decided to buy myself a proper camera

"That is where the road to photography and many more travels began."
"For me, these travels are more important than the photograph itself."

In the end, it’s about the adventure and journey that go along with it. That is what fills me with adrenaline over and over again. Capturing a great shot is an amazing feeling, but the feeling of the adventure itself is even greater. I hope to motivate people with my shots to get lost in nature, and to experience the adventure themselves, to feel the excitement and to admire the overwhelming landscapes.

We live for making memories, life is a journey and with my backpack, tent and camera I go wherever it takes me. I believe that we should not look back or wait until the right time; that time is now! When you are older, you will regret that you waited, and end up with things on your bucket list that you are not able to do anymore, because of time or age.

As I live in The Lake District, of course I would recommend adding it to your bucket list. My favorite place is called Blea Tarn at Little Langdale because of its views and the reflections of the fells. It is amazing to have such a wonderful spot close to my house; whenever I feel stressed or tired, I know where to go.

"Almost immediately I feel invigorated and forget how I was feeling. Nature has power to heal, to soothe and to reenergize."
