Go outdoors and start exploring! It will change your life!

With Maximilian Pohler @p0hleroid

My name is Maximilian Pohler and I am a 24 years old outdoor and lifestyle photographer based in Leipzig, Germany.

I have been shooting and sharing my work seriously for about two years. However, I have been passionate about nature, travel and other cultures since my teenager days.

For my 16th birthday I got my first camera. This was something huge for me, since then I started to see things differently. What do I mean?

Well, having a camera inspired me to search for unique perspectives and angles I had never considered before.

"Nature became like a huge playground where I could find multiple views for my photography, while meeting people from other cultures allowed me to find myself as well."

However, both at school and at the university here in Leipzig, I could not travel a lot since I had to achieve my educational goals. As you may know, they require quite some time.

Luckily I found some time for a two-months trip around Europe in 2017. Being able to travel and take photographs for such a long period of time was a tipping point in my career as a photographer.

I traveled by train and I reached 10 major capitals all over Europe, so I spent a significant time contemplating the changing landscapes and speaking with people on the train.

"This was such a fun and unique experience!"

"In the last three weeks of my journey I was finally able to enjoy the Nordic culture!"

I visited Copenhagen and Stockholm and then flew to Iceland for a road trip. I have returned to Copenhagen several times. I guess that I feel a special bond with the Nordic countries…To me, both Nordic culture and photography are well defined by the word “community”.

"Going out together and laughing, enjoying nature and literally climbing mountains together is priceless!"
@p0hleroid

Today I keep shooting landscape photography and enjoying every part of it. Being in nature gives me an inner peace I cannot find elsewhere. If you live in a cosmopolitan city and you struggle finding balance, go outdoors and start exploring the wild! It will change your life!
