My name is Florent Barberet and I am a 25 years old photographer from France.
I started doing photography some years ago when I was a BMX rider back in 2013. At first photography was a nice way to capture the tricks me and my friends did, but it became something else really quickly.
My first DSLR was a gift from my dad, a little canon 1100D, not the best camera in the world but enough to keep me motivated to learn as much as possible about photography.
So, I decided to dedicate my time entirely to photography. And this is how it became a real passion. At the beginning I was shooting a lot of sports, but I was not satisfied. Eventually I figured out that hiking and photography was the perfect combination for me.
This experience convinced me to keep traveling in search of adventure. Ever since I have been doing solo trips seeking to find unique spots and especially the best lights. Some people may think that I am obsessed with the perfect photo, but the truth is that I love improving my skills and finding the best version of myself.
I don’t consider myself an accomplished photographer and I know that I still have so much to learn and so many more pictures to take. Yet, I truly hope I can make a living as a landscape photographer one day! I know it is going to be hard since there are so many talented artist out there. But I will keep learning and improving my skills until that day comes, of that I am sure!
