Best of the week 1

My passion for photography and travel simply comes from my desire to live a life without regrets. My original plan was to become a doctor, and I even finished a degree in physiology and neuroscience. Throughout the process, however, I realized that I wasn’t passionate about it at all. I began having nightmares and imagined myself when I’m 60, full of regret and wishing that I had pursued a different career. I decided that the time to make a change is now when I’m 20, not when it’s too late.

"I had very little experience with photography, but I still decided to go full-send into it and make it a career."

"I’ve had to work harder at it than anything in my life, and I’m often up until 2AM teaching myself or editing. I certainly don’t have much natural talent, and I still have no idea what I’m doing. Regardless, I can now say that I’m living a passionate life and not just settling for what society expects of me."

I’ve had more opportunities pop up than I ever expected, and it’s really shown me that it doesn’t take tons of knowledge or a photography degree to make traveling the world a feasible career. It just takes an individual with ambition, work ethic, and no fear. As one of the least artistic people to ever live, I can say with confidence that if I can do this, anyone can.

So I just want to leave you with a thought. Imagine that you’re 80 years old and reflecting on the life that you’re living today. Will this older version of yourself be filled with joy and accomplishment thinking of your life, or will this older version of yourself have regrets? If the second option is true, it’s time to stop living in fear of failure and continuing a life that you hate. It’s time to find what drives you to wake up each day. Find what makes you feel alive and full of fire. That’s what you should be doing. Stop acting like you live this life twice. Live.
