“The creation of my own images is definitely therapeutic to me, but they also contain a profound wish to also help others, even if it’s just to let them relax for a brief moment while they delve into the scene or, even better, to make viewers stop, watch, read, integrate, feel, and reach deeper levels of significance that will enrich their present moment.”

“The photograph that won the contest was taken about a month ago. It was a cloudy day and I went to the peak ‘Memory’. As I was climbing, I saw a person walking on the path with the view of the peak in the background – I was astounded and had to catch the moment.”

“I often incorporate a bit of a fade/gradient to help lead the eye and simplify things. I generally try to keep my images somewhat minimal so there is a clear focus on the main subject. Then pop the ocean blues as my signature color, which you can also notice in the winning shot.”

At first, I thought it was the wind in the trees but when I turned around I saw a roe deer about 50 meters away from me and coming in my direction. As an animal lover myself, I was so thrilled!”
