Best of the week 42

I started to love landscape photography because of the environment where I live; rural areas and a house close to rice fields, corn fields and the beach. I was used to seeing these sceneries, enjoying them, and then, one day, I asked myself why I wasn’t  capturing all this beauty… Once I started doing this, I realized even more how wonderful the nature is as I was paying more attention to all the details. My soul began to wonder about more beautiful places that could exist out there. So, I tried to be brave and go further away from where I was living, discovering unknown terrain.

"What I found was even more beautiful than I had ever seen before."

Since then, when I have time, I always go out to find other places such a waterfalls in the middle of the forest, rice fields with unique terraces, high cliffs along the beach, amazing mountain views or peaceful countrysides. I can’t deny that wherever I go now, I bring my camera. I don’t want to lose any of this beautiful moments I am experiencing again and again.

My favorite spot is the waterfall: the heavy stream of water falling down while soaking the plants and trees around with its powerful water drops just makes me feel refreshed. At the waterfall in the middle of a forest, I can get a calm heart. It is a very different sensation for me compared to any other place. I learned this about myself because I have seen numerous places in Bali. I work as a travel photographer so I got to see a lot while accompanying tourists that come to Bali, visiting the most amazing spots over here.

"I capture lifetime experiences from people through my shots, which, I believe, is a very grateful job."
"In my opinion, a photo is a dream that I lived, which I then freeze in a small frame."

After, I apply some editing techniques to my shots, to make these beautiful places, these dreams, even more extraordinary and add a touch of imagination to the photo. I share the photos from my trips online because I don’t want to keep this natural beauty for myself, I want to open people’s minds about travelling. It may be tiring and time consuming, but I want people to know that it is so worth it. You will be rewarded with astonishing nature and great stories, memories, that you will bring home with you. I often take the time to wake up early in the morning and rush to catch the moment of sunrise. And if I miss the moment of sunrise, I usually close my afternoon by going to the beach to see and capture the sunset.

"As said, it is tiring to get up so early, and time consuming sometimes to wait for the sunset, but it is so worth it."
