Oliver Torreño (@olitc): Best of the week 39 at #nomadict 2024
This article delves into Oliver’s inspiring journey, the techniques behind his craft, and his aspirations to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
My name is Eric Friese and I am a landscape photographer based in Germany. Already as a child I traveled every weekend to Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland with my family. Those trips, I believe, shaped who I am today. As we hiked and climbed around these beautiful landscapes, I realized how unique our world really is.
Eventually my curiosity for our planet grew, so I decided to discover and explore as many places as possible. Photography allowed me to capture my own vision and share my special moments with friends and family. Almost without realizing it, travel and photography became two fundamental pillars in my life.
If I had to pick up only one moment, I would chose the first time I saw Winterberg and its lovely sunrise. Winterberg, by the way, is a town in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia. In my opinion, this place has something magical, it is completely worth visiting if you are traveling around Germany!
I have realized along these past years that we have a very limited time on Earth. It is short, but satisfying if you do what you love most.
