I think both my passion for photography and travel have always been there. I’m an only child with parents who traveled and I was lucky that they took me with them. I was hooked from the get-go! Because I was the only young person around I absorbed a lot from adults and have always seen travel as the best education there is. I think traveling from a young age shaped me into the human I am now.
I think adventuring is the best way to become better people. When you go off the beaten track you meet strangers, hear stories and see beauty outside of your comfort zone. It is then when you can see and understand better not only the world, but yourself. So to me photography comes second after the actual experiences of travel.
Yet, I really enjoy capturing all these unique moments I collect along the way. As a teenager I was already curious about photography. Actually, I shot on film and learned my way around a darkroom.
When I share a photo it’s because I like it, not necessarily because I expect the people who see it to feel a certain way. Depending on the person, their experiences or mood in that moment, their reaction will differ from one person to the next. Someone might connect with my image and understand what I’m trying to portray or someone might not and have their own separate feeling about it.
