My name is Sabrina Binkert. I was born and raised in Switzerland surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. I work as a teacher in a junior high school and I really enjoy it. However, photography is my passion and because of my job, I have time to travel around and explore the world through my camera.
Since childhood, I have had an interest in photography. It began with my own Fisher Price camera. Taking inspiration from my dad, who was a frequent traveler and avid photographer. We always enjoyed exploring new places and popular countries as a whole family. In 2001, my father and I visited Kenya on a safari in the Serengeti National Park observing all the unique savannah wildlife. Wildlife have been, and will always be, my real passion to photograph.
As a photographer I can share how multifaceted and great our planet is while also bringing awareness to others to respect and protect our planet earth. Otherwise, future generations won’t be able to experience the wildlife and landscapes I have had the opportunity to capture on camera.
If I could go back in time, I would visit Kenya again with my current camera and zoom in to capture the leopard hanging in a tree above our heads. We had driven through the night and there was a little bit of light in front of the Jeep, and then I spot this leopard. It was just unforgettable!
I am filled with happiness when I capture perfect moments with my camera. I enjoy traveling to and exploring new places I haven’t seen before, while also visiting some destinations that I already have to see how they have changed or stayed the same.
