It does not take much to be happy!

With Mateusz (@mat_chec)

"My name is Mateusz and I am a traveler and photographer based in Stuttgart, Germany."

I tend to be more introverted of a person, someone who enjoys life and who likes to escape and does not always follow the rules. I often think about the big picture. After all, we only have a damn short time on Earth! So, I live life bearing always this in mind.

Over the weekends I go exploring, mainly outside of the city. At the latest, I plan on Thursdays, checking out the maps and finding interesting places on Google Earth.

Six years ago, I fulfilled a long-awaited dream and bought an old VW Van. I restored it by myself over the winter and extended it. It is very simple, which makes it a very reliable and easy-to-maintain vehicle. Since I found its black varnishing boring, I came up with the idea to ask a graffiti artist from Stuttgart if he wants to let off steam.

"Together we designed a surfer design that aims to radiate freedom and the lightness of life."

The van is my faithful companion from the very beginning and acts as a magnet for people when traveling. They come to me, take pictures and we often start a conversation. I love when this happens and probably this is also the reason why I am on Instagram.

When I started using Instagram about two years ago, I never thought what was possible with this app. And by that, I mean mainly all the creative people that I have connected with and whom I remain in contact. In addition, this great community has also inspired me.

"Today I am convinced that certain photographs can appeal to people on an emotional level. That is fascinating to me, so I have been developing my photography skills hoping to inspire other people as well."

While many of my friends flew to Majorca or Turkey in their first party or all-inclusive vacation at the age of 18, I threw my tent into my car and made a road trip. So far I have traveled to 34 countries, photographed amazing moments and figured out how much I love connecting with people.

"So, to me, it does not take much to be happy!"
