My is name Ludovic Fremondiere and I am a 28 years old photographer. I have been passionated about photography for more than 10 years and ever since I grabbed a camera for the first time I have been exploring the most exciting landscapes all around the world.
Not that long ago my girlfriend and I drove to the top of some beautiful cliffs near Vík, Iceland. The path felt pretty challenging as we had to fight against the elements. The wind was rough and the rain heavy – the water drops seem to be tiny rocks actually!
Since we finally made it to the top, we both wanted to take a look around the area. The weather conditions were quite powerful, so as we left the car I eventually lost sight of her. I just could not see her anymore.
I started yelling while I was trying to find her desperately. But, there she was just lying on the ground and protecting herself from the extraordinary wind. We both grabbed each other and walked together back to the car. We arrived safely.
I don’t know exactly why, but this experience had a significant impact in my way of seeing life and experience the wild. We both felt more than alive once we got into the car, but we also learned an important lesson.
So, as you can imagine now, I am an outdoors lover! I just enjoy so much being outside contemplating the landscapes and how they evolve with the changing light. Sleeping in a tent or listening to the wildlife are things that bring me closer to nature. Among all the places I have visited so far, Iceland was the ideal country to experience all these. I have been there twice and I am planning a third visit already!
