My name is Luigi Chiurchi and I am an Italian videographer and photographer. For as long as I can remember I have loved traveling. To me, being and feeling free is priceless.
About two years ago my love for the outdoors led me to discover another of my passions. On a two-week trek crossing Sardinia with my partner Ienca I began to document my adventures. I had an amateur compact camera with me and although it wasn’t the best one in the world, it was enough to ignite a spark that has never faded.
After that trip I began to take photography more seriously. Actually, I decided to combine my passions for travel and photography and start a non-profit organization in Genoa: @tripinyourshoes.
I have explored quite a bit my home country and I have always been concerned with the impact that tourism has on our landscapes. So, this is precisely what our NGO is all about, we try to promote sustainable tourism.
One of our main activities is to retrace abandoned paths through long walks. We pass on our experience to our followers through emotional videos in order to raise awareness and made them feel every emotion that an outdoorsy travel can provoke.
Our association also aims to the creation of multimedia material to promote sustainable tourism in schools. We strongly believe in this goal since today’s generation is our future. In order to inspire young people to preserve nature, we focus on our expertise teaching them in a fun and technological way.
To this day, nature offers me everything I need to survive. In addition, I get to enjoy breathtaking sceneries, incredible smells and sounds, and unique sunsets and sunrises. Maybe, if everyone can realize through images and videos how beautiful nature is, we can all agree and commit to its protection. Don’t you think?
