Until seven years ago, I was like most people. Busy with a daily routine, running around the city, tired. This finally changed when a friend invited me to explore nature; we went to a waterfall first. It seemed a miracle that I had never seen before; clear water that was sparkling due to the reflection of the sun rays, the soothing sound of the water and the cold dew touching my skin. I captured this moment with the camera of my phone, but I felt that it deserved better. That kind of natural beauty deserves to be captured in high quality, including all its details, which is exactly what lead me to photography.
On the way I was meeting new friends from various regions with the same hobby who shared their experience and knowledge with me about their journeys, photography and editing techniques. I will continue to learn about photography and editing, because it is my passion. You are never too old to learn, but you should not waste time to start learning about what you really want. I now have a principle: “study without getting bored until your idol becomes your heaviest rival.” Nothing is impossible if we want to work and pray to make it happen.
I am still finding out a unique editing style, but I know I am interested in playing with different colors. Each color transfers an emotion, and each place has its own character that asks for a specific use of colors. Cold and dark are the hallmark of my photos at this moment; it has a mysterious character. Often people see the beauty of a photograph, and the beauty of what appears in the photo, but they don’t see the true feelings behind.
I want people to know that the world is so vast, so beautiful. There are so many things left to get to know, things that you have never experienced before. I try to convey that through a photograph; I want people to get the strength and motivation to leave routine behind, to find something of which they were unaware that it existed. Nature knows more about our true feelings; it can make us calmer, happier.. We really need nature even though nature doesn’t need us.
