In the 70’s both of my parents decided to give up their permanent job and good salary to travel around Europe, and that’s how they met. Individually, they were looking for a different lifestyle than the hectic one they were having for so long. After several trips and experiences around the world they decided to settle in my mother’s country of origin, building a Canadian model wooden house and growing vegetables organically on a piece of land that my grandparents owned. I was born in 1990 and because of my non-traditional family, already in elementary school while all my classmates only knew about football, I had long hair, listened to OffSpring and skateboarded.

"At the age of seven my parents gave me my first snowboard, and from there my passion for the mountains and adrenaline began."

During my adolescence Internet and YouTube became common use and I started watching videos of American snowboarders. That was the point that I got fascinated by video: I wanted to film my snowboard adventures and try to make as many people as possible understand how nice it is to spend the days in the nature, how exciting it is to snowboard. A few years later, the first GoPro came out and soon became my biggest adventure companion. After finishing high school I immediately started working as a metalworker and thanks to this job I was able to pay many trips around the world… and so another true passion of mine was born.

"I think that travel creates our personal art gallery and the single photos are the paintings of our life."

Although I loved photography and video, I wasn’t really using Instagram until I spontaneously decided to post some photos I had taken in Sardinia. That was about 18 months ago, having about 250 followers. That very same day an Instagram page sharing photos taken in Sardinia wrote me asking if they could use my photos… From that moment I began to deepen into the world of social media, understand how collaborations worked, how photographers made themselves known by posting photos and using Instagram in a strategic manner. I discovered that thanks to Instagram it was possible to reach many people with similar interests.

"The more I entered the world of photography, the more I fell in love with it."

I started taking pictures more often and traveling even more, reading books on photography and watching tutorials on post production. I bought the first drone and my first camera and in the meantime my profile was starting to grow along with my skills. After a while I could get my own collaborations; I had planned a tour of more than 1000 km in the Dolomites and contacted some brands to ask if they were interested.

"I still remember my happiness at the first positive answers, what I had imagined a few months before was slowly taking shape!"

Over time, things have been evolving quite rapidly. I have been developing my skills, reached over 10,000 people who follow me and take inspiration from my photos and my adventures. As far as video editing is concerned, completely different contents are created now compared to 3 years ago. Filming is more engaging and there is a whole mix of transitions and effects that are meant to keep the viewer glued to the screen. I always try to improve myself by studying courses and tutorials and updating my equipment. During a photographic output I always carry an action cam to film the shooting in first person and create quick material to share in the stories, besides I always bring my Sony A6300, and my drone DJI Mavic. When preparing for a trip I really enjoy taking a ‘starter pack shot’; I prepare and check the equipment, after which I take a picture from above.

I deeply love nature and try to spend as much time as possible being immersed in it, most of the time you’ll find me practicing Snowboard and Mtb Freeride. I like strong emotions, those that make my heart beat and that make me feel alive. When I start to descend the slope of a mountain at an insane speed and the brain processes billions of information per second, a kind of calmness arises inside me which makes that I can perceive everything that surrounds me with extreme clarity. It is like a slow motion, feeling the pupils dilating and the adrenaline pumping in your veins… and when I get to the bottom of the slope I can only stop looking back and screaming with joy.

During these activities I prefer to film to better convey the sensations that I feel. I think that’s the most important part of visual content creation: transmitting the message you want to spread among those who watch the video. Creating content, whether it’s video of photo, makes me happy three times: When I dream of it, when I live it and when I edit it. I love each step and very often this ends late at night in front of my computer, finishing the edit.

"Then, before going to bed, I like to go out of the house, admire the sky full of stars above me and thank for the experiences I am living."

Photos and videos will be the means by which I will communicate these experiences with the whole world. This summer I would like to make a documentary of a trip that I have been planning for many months. I am a very positive person and I am not afraid of challenges… It would be a dream to be able to present this documentary at the Banff Film Festival, an international festival held yearly in Alberta, where documentaries and short videos related to sports and nature are being presented. So far this world taught me that there are no limits, so let’s see!

"Everything is possible if you really want it and never give up. In the end, dreamers always make it!"
