“The photograph that won the contest was taken about a month ago. It was a cloudy day and I went to the peak ‘Memory’. As I was climbing, I saw a person walking on the path with the view of the peak in the background – I was astounded and had to catch the moment.”

“We knew we wanted to climb a mountain during the midnight sun this summer. We were unsure which one to choose until we found one picture from a mountain top that had an incredible view. We gambled on that one picture and decided to hike that mountain. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made.”

“We began hiking early in the morning and arrived right at sunrise. When I sent the drone up in the air, I could not believe the light and the conditions I was getting. This place has been shot before so I tried to do something completely different, using video and trying to capture the sunrise light with the volcano in a unique manner.”

At first, I thought it was the wind in the trees but when I turned around I saw a roe deer about 50 meters away from me and coming in my direction. As an animal lover myself, I was so thrilled!”
