“I want to share images that makes people stop for a second and think: “Wow, our earth is epic.” That feeling I want to convey.”
Photography and travelling are two closely related things for me. The one doesn’t come without the other. My photography journey started when I was working as a volunteer at a sport competition event at the university. A curator was looking for a person who could take a few pictures during the competition for the sports journal. Apparently, I was the only person who at least knew how to hold a camera. Since that time I’m passionate about photography.
Finally, I managed to come back to photography two years ago. I got the chance to travel a bit more and since my first trip with the camera I got super enthusiastic about capturing all the nature and landscapes. Now I work as a software developer, but I dedicate almost all my free time to photography. It became a lifestyle and it influences the way I spend my days, weekends and holidays.
For me, traveling is not a touristy thing anymore. It’s exploring, searching for and shooting the beauty of remote places other than visiting touristic highlights. It inspires me a lot and I hope my work can inspire others as well to travel more. Seeing the world opens your mind and I think this would only do good to us. I became so much more grateful for what the Earth is providing us with. Acknowledging the fact that you are just a “passenger” on this planet and you need to keep the “train” clean and tidy at the moment you leave it, is a very important thing in my eyes.
I wish people to get the urge to go out to explore our wonderful planet, and become more aware of how irresponsible actions can easily destroy all that beauty. This is what happened to me. In fact, I wish I could really influence people to live in a more responsible way so we can all appreciate and experience what nature offers us, without abusing it.
Even though I love landscape photography, I like having different types of photography in my portfolio. Photographing cityscapes interest me a lot too. Both types require different skills and I believe that having those skills, as well as the ability to apply them in the field, is an advantage for every photographer. The more you know about different types of photography, the better photographer you are. Soon I will start doing street photography, which I like a lot as well.
We can find work from the best photographers wherever online and these pictures can push us to do better. Because besides improving your own work picture after picture, I think that comparing your work to someone else’s who is better than you is a great motivation to do a better job as well. Another crucial factor to improve the quality of my work is to show my portfolio to an audience and get feedback. Sharing pictures on social media or elsewhere is equally beneficial for me and the audience because I can establish a dialogue to get the needed feedback so I can become better, and the audience gets inspiration and entertainment.
Obviously, the inspiration and feedback obtained guides me a little in my editing process. I can enhance the quality, and try out editing styles. As a rule, I try to edit my pictures in a way that they look saturated but still natural. Lately, I’m trying a slightly different style for my edits. I moved to a more dark and moody colour grading. This is where I’m experimenting with at the moment and I might stick to it or not, but this is what time will tell. I am sure I will keep developing my skills and adjust my editing style accordingly.

“Honestly, as of late, the one word I use to describe my lifestyle is always “hectic”. I love the uncertainty of it all, which I know is something most people would hate.”
“My favorite thing about portrait photography is making the other person feel that they look good with the final product. Shooting my friends is my favorite, being able to give a friend some quality photos from that one time we did this one thing is a great feeling.”
“I spent nearly the last three months living on the road. And it has definitely changed my perspective and lifestyle. I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone. Being active and in the outdoors is a very important part of my life.”
